
Gail graduated from Duke University with a BA in English and earned her MA in English from UNC-G with a 4.0 GPA. For the past eleven years, she has served as an Independent College Consultant helping students be accepted at their dream schools, including Duke, Dartmouth, Brown, Columbia, UCLA, Tulane, Purdue, Davidson, University of Florida, Johns Hopkins, UNC-CH, University of Miami, FSU, UCF, Penn, etc. She has taught high school and college English and has edited thousands of essays. Gail is also very experienced with SAT and ACT tutoring. She has been the editor of two national newsletters and has taught 300 lessons online during the pandemic.
Gail has also served for over thirty years on the Duke University Alum Interview Committee and has a thorough knowledge of what the top colleges are looking for in their applicants. While on the Duke Admissions Committee, one of her interview reports was selected as the model essay and sent to all interviewers worldwide. She was also given an award for the authorship of the Tutor Training Manual for Children with Learning Disabilities, which was adopted and published by the Greensboro City Schools.
